This module discusses the Safety Measurement System for drivers and carriers and discusses how BASICS are calculated. Weighting, severity and threshold levels will be discussed. After completion, participants will be able to:
- Describe how time weighting affects a BASIC measure
- List the elements that affect the weight of the Crash Indicator
- Explain the purpose of Safety Event groups and threshold values in the Safety Measurement System
