This course provides an overview of how drivers can protect their vehicle from security risks while hauling hazardous materials. It covers six major areas where drivers must pay extra attention to security, the steps to take in each situation, and what to watch for. After completion, participants will be able to:
- Explain how security awareness can keep you safe, and keep your hazardous materials cargo out of the hands of thieves and potential terrorists
- List the four steps to keeping your truck secure at any time
- List the six security points where you should be taking special precautions with hazardous materials cargo
- Explain the actions to take at each security point to keep you and your cargo safe
- Describe how to properly handle a hijacking if it occurs
