This module demonstrates how to correctly log duty periods and explains the situations in which a driver would use the Remarks section, including for personal use and under adverse driving conditions. The two duty cycles will be explained, as well as how to use deferrals and restarts. After completion, participants will be able to:
- Record daily duty status as per the Hours of Service regulations
- Define the two duty cycles and calculate your available hours in a cycle
- Explain how to reset and switch your cycle
- Describe how to log adverse conditions and personal use of a commercial motor vehicle
